Selective Service Registration Questionnaire

Federal law requires most individuals, born male who are U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents over the age of 18, to register with the U.S. Selective Service per the Military Selective Service Act (50 U.S.C. 3801 et seq). Males who are not registered by age 26 can be ineligible for student financial aid, U.S. Citizenship, federal job training, federal jobs, etc. and subject to prosecution.

The Code of Virginia 2.2-2804 requires selective service registration compliance as a condition of employment for agencies of the Commonwealth.

New employees to Virginia Tech or employees coming back with an extended break in service must complete the Virginia Tech Selective Service Registration Questionnaire to confirm their compliance of Selective Service registration requirement.
