COVID-19 Update: Guidance for Virginia Tech faculty and staff

Important Notice:

Effective March 25, 2020: During this time of COVID-19, the Division of Human Resources will operate by virtual services. We are canceling in-person visits to ensure the health of our customers. We will continue to serve the campus community by email, phone, fax, and Zoom meetings.

To submit documents to Human Resources, please use the division’s secure drop box. Documents can also be submitted by fax at 540-231-3830. For walk-ins, although the HR Service Center’s doors will be locked, please see instructions posted on the door.

Public Health Emergency Leave guidelines 

Public Health Emergency Leave (PHEL), which is a benefit activated by Gov. Ralph Northam for state employees as a result of the impact of COVID-19, is available to Virginia Tech full- and part-time faculty and staff, and many wage employees who are impacted by the virus.
