Employer-Provided Group Life Insurance

Virginia Tech provides life insurance for all eligible employees at no cost. The program is administered through the Virginia Retirement System with Securian Financial (formerly Minnesota Life) as the insurance carrier.

Optional Life Insurance

In addition to the employer-provided life insurance that all salaried employees receive at no cost, eligible employees can also purchase a term or whole life insurance plan, or both.
