Staff Career Achievement Award

Nomination period January 5 - March 1, 2021, by 5 p.m.

Created in 2011 to recognize retiring staff members, the Staff Career Achievement Award is presented annually to individuals who retired the previous year and who distinguished themselves through exemplary performance and service during their university career.

  • Recipients will receive a cash award up to $2,000, receive a certificate, and be recognized at the annual Faculty/Staff Awards Reception and Ceremony.
  • Full-time university or classified staff who served a minimum of 10 years at Virginia Tech, retired in the previous year,  and had a history of outstanding performance in their position are eligible to be nominated.
  • The nomination form must be submitted by a dean or vice president. All required documents must be submitted electronically. Nominations must be submitted online by March 1 no later than 5 p.m.
