On average, more than 50,000 people apply for more than 1,500 open jobs at Virginia Tech each year, making the application and hiring process increasingly competitive.
To assist individuals with the application process, the Department of Human Resources offers a one-hour Applicant Seminar. The seminar addresses searching for vacant positions, creating and/or updating an application online, and understanding the employment process at Virginia Tech.
Anyone interested in learning more about Virginia Tech’s online application system or the application process is invited to attend, including current and former employees and new or previous applicants. Individuals can also view the seminar online.
At the end of the session, attendees will be better prepared to complete the application process thus improving their ability to get a job at Virginia Tech.
