CommonHealth is the employee wellness program for the Commonwealth of Virginia. CommonHealth to promotes wellness in the workplace. Quarterly programs cover a variety of health and wellness subjects and are presented in a variety of formats - including onsite programs and video presentations – that make it easy to participate. Not only are the programs educational and fun, they help you stay fit and healthy.
As part of Virginia Tech’s health care benefit plan, employees and family members who are covered by the university’s health insurance have access to Anthem and Aetna EAP providers. The first four visits are free. A copayment based on your health care plan will be charged for additional appointments.
Hokie Wellness is Virginia Tech’s onsite employee health and wellness program. The department offers work/life resources, health and wellness programs, and collaborations with many academic and community partners to help enhance the health and wellness of all Hokies. Programs covering a variety of health and wellness topics are available onsite, via live webinars, and archived online videos.
Free flu vaccination clinics are offered during the fall semester for all COVA care members, including covered family members.
