All new employees are required to attend an orientation session. All benefit information is provided at these sessions. Because there are several deadlines on items such as retirement, cash match and health insurance, it is important to attend an orientation session as soon as possible. Human Resources Department will contact your department to schedule you for an orientation session.
As a new hire, you have 31 days from your start date to enroll in the health insurance plan, and your health insurance will then be effective the first of the month after your application is received in Human Resources. Therefore, it is very important that you attend an orientation session as soon as possible. If you can’t attend before the first of the month after your hire date, please contact the HR Service Center for the appropriate forms.

All of the pre-employment documents provided here must be completed by new employees or former employees that are being rehired. This paperwork must be turned into Human Resources before employees can be set up on payroll. This paperwork will be provided at orientation. If you will be late in attending an orientation, you can turn it in prior to your orientation session. Human Resources will not be able to process you for payroll until we receive the signed Terms of Offer Letter from your department.
Step 1: Print pre-employment packet of documents.
Step 2: Once printed, complete ALL the pre-employment documents.
Step 3: Mail all of the completed forms including a copy of your social security card to:

If you are on a VISA, there are additional forms you will need to complete.
Human Resources will contact your department to schedule you for orientation.
New employees should have their Tech ID#, PID and password prior to attending orientation. There are a few simple steps that the departments can do to make this happen. Please refer to the attached newsletter.
