6.2.1 Use of Disability Credits
Employees may request that credits be used for income replacement while on short-term disability for days otherwise reduced to 80 or 60 percent pay. Human Resources must post the credits and therefore must be notified in writing before the pay period in which they are to be used. Eight disability credits must be charged per day to restore pay to 100 percent. Human Resources will use all disability credits remaining at the beginning of a long-term disability to increase replacement income from 60 percent to 100 percent.
