Absences and Tardiness
If you are going to be late, need to leave early or will be absent, notify your supervisor before the beginning of the work day or as soon as possible. Follow your department’s guidelines.
Leaving the Worksite
Employees must notify their supervisors prior to leaving their designated work area. Follow your department's procedures.
Unscheduled Absences
Employees should notify their supervisors prior to being absent from work. When it is not possible to avoid an unscheduled absence from work, the employee must notify the supervisor as soon as possible and must follow departmental procedures for notification.
Unauthorized Absences
All absences must be approved by the supervisor. Follow university guidelines and/or procedures when unable to report to work, altering your work schedule or being tardy.
Excessive absences, unauthorized absences, leaving work without notifying your supervisor, or not following university and departmental requirements may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.
