Fall Fitness Opportunities

Fitness Classes

 Semester ($25) or Yearly ($47) passes are required for entry into all Fitness Classes held in War Memorial Hall.  Your Hokie Passport will be activated once you purchase your fitness class pass and you will swipe your Hokie Passport to get into the classes.

September is STEPtember!  Read here for more information about a 6-week activity challenge which will help you increase your daily activity and decrease your daily calorie intake!  Pick up a registration form at the Fitness Fair or the Active Commute Celebration!  Free pedometers to the first 250 registered.

3rd Annual Active Commute Celebration

Bike - Bus - Walk, Leave Your Car at Home!
Join us on the Drillfield to celebrate active commuting, Sept 17 from 8:00am - 1:00pm on the Drillfield. We will have breakfast, bike checks and registration, the kick off of VT Moves, discount coupons, health information and more!
Participants include: BT, Smart Way Bus, Off-Campus Housing, Common Health, Rec Sports, VT Police Department, East Coasters, GoLoco, and RIDE Solutions.

CommonHealth

New Online Wellness Resource Available

State employees and their families now have access to a new online wellness resource through Revolution Health. The site offers a range of resources, from information on conditions and treatments to tips on how to develop and enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Here you will also find online tools like a BMI calculator, health assessments and a Symptom Checker. You will also be able to set up and maintain a secure, personal online health record that will help you keep track of your medical history, allergies, prescriptions and doctors’ visits. Partnership With Weight Watchers

The Commonwealth of Virginia is partnering with Weight Watchers to offer state employees, spouses and adult dependents special national pricing for its programs. Learn more about the weight-loss opportunities Weight Watchers presents.
